Everything you need to know about Nomadvax
Yes, completely free. Vaccination tracking, health requirements for 162 countries, medication rules, the emergency ICE card and the health map are all free forever. A one-time Premium upgrade (€9.99) adds unlimited trip saving, data backup and restore, multi-profile support, and AI-assisted vaccine and medication scanning.
No account, no login, no email address required. Nomadvax stores everything privately on your own device. We never see your health data and there is nothing to sign up for.
No download needed. Nomadvax is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that runs directly in your phone's browser. You can optionally add it to your home screen from your browser menu for one-tap access — but even that is optional.
Yes. Once you've loaded the app, it works completely offline. Your vaccination records, emergency card and saved health documents are available without any signal — crucial when you're in a remote area, on a plane, or trying to avoid expensive roaming charges.
Yes. All data is stored locally on your device only — in your browser's local storage. We do not collect, transmit or store any personal health information on our servers. There is no Nomadvax database of user records. Your data is entirely yours. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Premium users can export a full backup of all their health data from the Protect tab at any time. Save it to your email, iCloud or Google Drive. If you lose your phone, install Nomadvax on your new device, import the backup file and everything comes back exactly as it was.
When you use the optional vaccine or medication scanner, the photo you take is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for identification only. The image is processed in real time and is not stored by Nomadvax. This feature requires a network connection. All other app data remains on your device.
We source destination health requirements from CDC, WHO, NHS and NATHNAC — the same sources used by travel clinics and GPs. That said, requirements do change. Nomadvax is your starting point for research, not a substitute for professional advice. Always verify with your doctor or the destination country's embassy before travelling.
162 countries across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific. Each entry includes required vaccines, recommended vaccines, malaria risk information, medication legality rules and pharmacy information.
No. Nomadvax is a personal record organiser and travel planning tool. It does not provide medical diagnoses, prescriptions or clinical recommendations. All health information is entered by you and is for your own reference. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
Premium (€9.99 one-time, no subscription) unlocks: unlimited saved trips, full data backup and restore, multi-profile support for the whole family, AI-assisted vaccine record scanning, and AI medication identification. After purchase you receive a licence key by email — enter it in the app under Upgrade → I Have a Key.
No. Premium is a one-time purchase of €9.99. There are no monthly or annual charges, no renewal reminders, and no hidden fees. Pay once and keep the features forever.
Yes. Your licence key can be used to activate Premium on any device. Just open Nomadvax, tap Upgrade → I Have a Key, and enter your key. Keep your purchase confirmation email somewhere safe — it contains your key.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee — no questions asked. If you're not satisfied, email hello@nomad-vax.com within 14 days of purchase with your order number and we'll refund you in full. See our full refund policy.
Yes. Nomadvax supports multiple profiles (Premium) so you can track vaccinations and health records for every family member separately — useful when children have different vaccine schedules or family members take different medications.
You can create any number of named folders in the Protect tab and store photos or files in each — vaccination certificates, insurance documents, prescriptions, passport copies, medical letters, anything you might need access to while travelling. Each insurance card also has its own document folder.
Tap Scan in the Vaccine Vault and take a photo of any vaccination record — a WHO Yellow Card, NHS record, clinic printout, or digital certificate. Claude AI reads the card and identifies all vaccines, dates and providers. You select which ones to add and they go straight into your vault.
Your data is almost certainly still there — it hasn't been deleted. Nomadvax stores data in your browser's local storage, which is tied to the exact URL you use. If you previously accessed the app at www.nomad-vax.com/app/ and now you're at nomad-vax.com/app/ (or vice versa), the browser treats them as completely separate and your data appears missing. Try the other version of the URL — your data should reappear immediately. Once you find it, go to the Protect tab and export a backup so you always have a copy saved safely.
Nomadvax works in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. The important thing is to always use the same browser on the same device, since localStorage data does not carry across browsers. On iPhone, Safari is recommended. On Android, Chrome works best. Avoid private or incognito mode as this clears your data when the window closes.
